Wednesday morning started with breakfast at 8:30, followed by 9:00 assembly at the school. Each of us greeted the students who stood at full attention.
After we finished, we gathered our things and prepared for our first medical camp, leaving Lankas at 10:15. A few(mostly myself) were hit with queasy stomachs. Busy traffic, no defined lanes, starting, stopping, braking, merging, will do that to you! We arrived safely at camp where people were waiting. We sang a few songs after
which Tom spoke telling the people that we are providing
medical care in Jesus name. With nothing else to do, I
wondered around watching the doctors examine people.
It is really hard to put into words what you see. Seeing
young children not having any idea what kind of conditions they
will grow up living in. Tennage girls who have a future family
to raise in harsh living conditions. And than seeing what hard
work, hot sun, and terrible living conditions do to men and women.
Words and pictures really cannot describe or paint a picture of how
they may feel! Pray for those that recieved care today. Pray that God
may reveal Himself to them. He is their Hope!
