Feb. 13
The Five us usually gather on the second story balcony to gather our thoughts for the day. This morning it was another beautiful morning, 95 degrees today.  We had a delicious breakfast made by Bushi. We had eggs, pancakes, and toast. Noticeable missing was coffee.
We had our second medical camp of the week at a very poor village about 90 minutes east of here. The village is nearly all Hindu, so we prayed that we would be able to show the people Jesus . We arrived a little late so we had many people sitting in chairs waiting on our arrival. We started the camp with a song and then Tom had an opening prayer. There were lot of school children there all day long. Most children could talk English very well, so we spend a lot of time talking to them about Jesus as well as there lives. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with them and made lots of friends. Even the adults seemed to be very open to being prayed for and were very grateful for us coming and sharing medical supplies with them. We had over 600 people go through the camp, around 165 have an eye exam, and 65 people should that have a cataract surgery. There was one elderly man that came through that lost his one eye to an infection (that eye was almost completely gone) and his second eye got damaged from playing sports with his family and now he is almost 100% blind. At the end of camp we visited a tiny school and sang for the children. We were also invited by the village president, to her house. She was also a Hindu. We were served a few snacks and pineapple juice. She said we were the first white people to ever visit her village and the first she had ever seen in person. We sang a few songs for her and prayed for her and that village would come to know that Jesus.
Tonight we went to a family from Lanka's church and had a house dedication for them. We were served ice-cream and cake, yummy.
Please keep praying for us and don't forget to add comments, we sure do enjoy them.

Whew. Thankfully it was you 5 that were the first white people that village had seen. That's not too scary! :) Keep being the hands and feet of Jesus. That is so neat that you could communicate so well with the children. Ron and Sheri

Hi Ruth and all,
I keep praying for good health and safety for everyone. Ruth....did you have opportunity to buy a sari outfit? I would really be interested in the medical camps if I would have gone along. We got around 3-4 more inches of snow here at my house. It is very windy today and keep having snow squall. Marla shoveled in front of garage and the driveway.
God bless all and good health!
Miriam
