Saturday Eve.

Greetings from the India Group! Well...today we had beautiful weather for the medical camp. Thank you to all who prayed for that...a wonderful answer to prayer. The camp was held at a village about 1 1/2 hr away in a remote area with lowest cast and untouchable people. Wow.... what a powerful experience! We are so blessed!! We were able to touch and pray for several hundred people....seems our presence is a huge encouragement to them....they want to share what little they have with us. The majority of health issues is eyes, cataracts, stomach issues (due to spicy diet), blood sugar, and then all the children received a liquid med with high Iron. It's fun to watch the people who receive glasses explore their new sight. Lanka says there were approximately 400 patients today. Between the 2 clinics there are approximately 100 necessary cataract surgery's needed! ??? How will we ever be able to pay for all of these surgery's? After the clinic we spent a little time walking through the village...again....we are so blessed! Yesterday forenoon the men did some overseeing of projects at the complex here while the ladies relaxed a little, then in the afternoon we spent a few hours power shopping! :) smiling :) One of the Drs looked at my foot today and reassured me that it's not a bloodclot, just an allergic reaction to an insect bite! Thanks for all the prayers lifted on our behalf! We are all still healthy and enjoying each others company! Making many memories. Oh by the way...just as much as you enjoy reading our blogs....we are just as excited to hear from home folks too!! Hint hint! Tomorrow is church, etc. and then Monday forenoon we will be driving to Hyderabad for our very early flight on Tues morning. Good Night!

Joyce: Thanks for the update- we are thankful its not a bloodclot! So glad you got to 'powershop'! For us men that would be getting a pair of socks!!
To the Team: May the Lord continue to give you good health, and bless you all for the work you are doing- it is an extension of the Sharon Church making His Name known to nations and people groups ! Still praying for your trip through Hyderabad.

It's so much fun reading your updates! What seems like such a small thing for us, like going to the dr. or seeing clearly, is obviously a wonderful blessing to these people. Our prayer is for a wonderful worship experience, safe travels, and health for you all. Brace yourselves for snow. It may still be here when you get home, and if it's not, I'm sure the after-effects will still be. :) Sheri
