Choice Books Service Opportunities:

     Hutchinson, KS  VS Unit

    If someone likes the idea of serving on the western prairie, Hutchinson offers that opportunity.  The work involves multi-day routes to neighboring states, and is usually done with teams of two.  There are a lot of miles driven on the routes in this area!  The VSers live together in a VS house, and engage with a local mentor that encourages them in spiritual growth, community connection, etc.   There is a vibrant social life in Kansas for the VS young men, with multiple Beachy/Mennonite churches that do very well in welcoming and including the VS staff.   

    New York City VS Unit

   If someone is interested in ministering and living in the city, this location provides that opportunity. In addition to the work with Choice Books, the VSers here have opportunity to be involved in outreach in the city through the local BMA church (Followers of Jesus Mennonite Church).  The VS staff live in an upstairs apartment above the street level apartment where the District Manager and his family lives.  There is a mentor in place that encourages them in spiritual growth, community connection, etc.
