An Unhappy Camel & More Ice Cream

Today was another long day of travelling. But before we sat in cars for 4 hours some of us got a camel ride! Sam knows of someone who has camels and gives rides on them. They brought the camel right to the house, which was cool. The camel was unhappy because it's handler made it run to the house, and it made its displeasure known very loudly!

Sam's drivers took us to meet Lanka beside the highway in Hyderabad. Apparently it's not uncommon for people to stop anywhere on the highway. We pulled off to the side and switched luggage and passengers while cars and motorcycles whizzed right on past!

Halfway to Lanka's we stopped at a rest area type place. Normally we get tea there, but this time we got ice cream. Interestingly enough, we've  had ice cream every day so far. (That's not a bad thing!) It was nice to have a short break from riding in a car on the very busy highway.

We arrived at Lanka's around 5, and all the children were waiting for us. It was quite a welcome! Supper was another Indian meal and we all really enjoyed it. This evening will be quiet- hopefully we'll be able to go to bed early. Tomorrow will be a busy day!

It's so neat to see how excited the children get when they have visitors. Very special! You must not be afraid of heights to be up on a camel!! Sheri
