Thursday, February 19

Today we jumped out of bed at the crack of dawn, and by 7:30 were in the children's dorm for morning prayer meeting. They sang songs and had prayer. They then invited us all to stand up and say a couple words. We all gathered around the children and had prayer for them, then they prayed for a safe journey for us. At 8:15 it was time for breakfast, and we all cried because we didn't want to leave these precious children. After breakfast another breakfast of eggs and toast we ran upstairs and finished last minute packing. We gathered on the porch and said our final goodbyes. The hostel children were all lined up on both sides of the driveway. We all went along and shook each of their hands, and shed more tears. After a prayer on the porch we stuffed our suitcases in the cars and FLEW to the airport. Literally, we flew; we went 170 kilometers an hour! We went that fast pretty much the whole way, weaving in and out, stopping suddenly, with horns blasting. It was the ride of a lifetime! Tom finally asked them to drop some of the speed, we do want to get home in one piece. We had a 1 1/2 hour flight to Mumbai, which was rather uneventful.  Now we sit. For seven hours we sit. Then we sit for 16 hours. And then sit some more. Then sit for 1 1/2 hours to Cleveland. Then sit for the drive home yet. In other words we sit for about one whole day. Please, don't ask us to sit longer because we are already tired of it, and we have only been in Mumbai for 2 1/2 hours. This is waste of time writing, full of ramblings, but it was a fun read wasn't it? Anyway, we will see you all soon and thank you for your prayers thus far.
Hannah, quite tired, for the group

PS: Hannah really  doesn't know tired at this point.  She will know tired about 9:40  Friday morning.
Been there and done that.
Leroy not yet tired.

Yes leaving is very hard but once you turn your face towards home that starts to pull pretty hard that way. Sounds like you'll be all sat out by the time you get home. Looking forward to seeing youall and hearing your stories. Praying for a safe trip. Seeya.

Um, we just converted 170 kmph to mph. That's NOT good! And no one says you HAVE to sit while waiting in an airport. Maybe dance a jig! :) Ron & Sheri
