Thursday

We visited a "fast-food" restaurant run by a small church in the slums of Vijawada. These two ladies were opperating it this evening.

Indian food is great; but, according to Tom, the only thing to beat a big bowl of American ice cream . . . . is the 2nd bowl!

2 older house workers at Lanka's. They secretly asked me to take a photo while Lanka was preoccupied.

Prayer meeting in the slums of Vijawada. These kids had E-N-E-R-G-Y!
Michael's perspective on the day:

Tom said it best, "This is the part of the trip where you start to think about home." We are missing our families, but it helps to be surrounded by a group of children. But I guess the singles in the group don't have anything to worry about in that department. Although, yesterday when we were shopping for dresses, Leroy mentioned maybe he would purchase a dress and put it in his "hope chest"! Not sure what is on his mind!

We had a good day. We got to visit the school a bit. Then in the afternoon we went shopping in the nice part of town. We visited a small restaurant booth and a print shop which Lanka has "micro-financed".

In the evening we got to share with a small church. All 5 of us got to share a bit of the Good Word.

We are enjoying the pictures and comments and are praying for you! God bless you for blessing the people there. So glad you get to enjoy some good food and shopping. Did anyone help Leroy? Be blessed!
